Schieffer Dean’s Ambassadors serve as student representatives of Schieffer College during events such as Mondays at TCU, the family weekend open house, a 10th anniversary party and more.
We are looking for students interested in networking and leadership opportunities, portfolio and community building, professional development and academic recognition.

The program commitment is one academic semester, September-December 2023, but successful ambassadors may continue through the spring 2024 semester.
Ambassadors will be selected based on their leadership and interpersonal skills; active participation in student organizations, campus activities or community service; a strong academic record and a genuine interest in their academic area of study, TCU and its students.
Required Qualifications
- Be a declared Schieffer College major
- Completed at least two semesters at TCU
- Be in good academic standing
- Adhere to the TCU Code of Conduct
Required Time Commitments
- At least one of the Media Training Sessions (date to come)
- At least one of the Tour Training Sessions (Sept. 15)
- At least three Monday at TCU events for the college (2-3 p.m. Sept. 18, Oct. 9, Oct. 30 and Nov. 13)
- Assist with the Schieffer College Open House during Family Weekend (2-4 p.m. Sept. 22)
- Assist with the Schieffer Symposium and Schieffer Birthday Party (6-9 p.m. Nov. 7)
Expectations
- Host at least one Instagram takeover or participate in a social media campaign (Live, video, etc.)
- Create at least one Schieffer Socks photo for the Walk in Purple Socks campaign
- Agree at least one of the following:
- interviewed as a Schieffer College student representative with a media outlet, Schieffer College, TCU’s Marketing or Advancement departments;
- Video request
- Photo request
- Social media request
- Be open to additional opportunities to represent Schieffer College
