Schieffer Associates is an upper-level course that can be taken as an elective in Communication Studies, Film, Television and Digital Media, Journalism and Strategic Communication. The Schieffer Associates serve as the in-house, student-powered communication team for the Schieffer College.

The fall 2025 section of Schieffer Associates will meet on Mondays from 2-4:40 p.m.  

In this hands-on, lab-style class, you’ll focus on content creation and storytelling through writing, photography, videography, design and social media. Your work will include creating video content, public presentations to Schieffer College guests, writing news features, planning content strategy, and creating social media and digital stories. You will build upon your current skills and learn new ones, enhancing your resume and building your professional portfolio.
