Joel Anderson ’00 Won the 2024 Ambie Award for Slow Burn Podcast

A Journalism graduate, Anderson won the 2024 Ambie Award for hosting Slate’s “Slow Burn” season 8 podcast series: “Becoming Justice Thomas,” which focused on the rise to power of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas.

Emily Mendez ’13

Emily Mendez ’13 Won a 2024 Emmy Award for Editing

In January 2024, Mendez, a Film, Television and Digital Media graduate, won a 2023 Emmy Award for Outstanding Picture Editing for a Drama Series for her work on HBO’s “The Last of Us.”
