Schieffer College alumnus Sam Tippetts, who graduated in 2018 with degrees in Film, Television and Digital Media and Strategic Communication, was chosen as the winner of Assignment: Inspiration, a photography-based competition sponsored by National Geographic and Mazda.
The Assignment: Inspiration program was a contest shared through National Geographic’s Your Shot Instagram account, inviting emerging photographers to complete visual storytelling assignments showing where they find inspiration. Mazda launched this competition to honor people making a difference, realizing their potential and inspiring others.
As the winner, Tippetts will become the next Mazda Content Partner and National Geographic storyteller. He will receive an official assignment for National Geographic Travel and his original work will appear on National Geographic Travel’s digital platforms.
