FORT WORTH, Texas – The TCU Nonprofit Communicators Conference will celebrate its seventh annual gathering on Friday, May 22, 2015, with Kivi Leroux Miller as the keynoter. The conference is organized and sponsored by the TCU School of Strategic Communication. Cost is just $35.
Miller’s keynote—”Nonprofit Marketing and Fundraising Trends: What’s Hot and What’s Not”—will focus on effective ways for nonprofit organizations to share their impact. She will also conduct an opening workshop, “Creating an Editorial Calendar That Connects to Hearts and Minds.” Both sessions, as well as other workshops and panels, will be support the conference theme of “Strategic Connections.”
“It’s important for nonprofits to tell their stories and to highlight their impact on our community,” said TCU strategic communication professor Jacqueline Lambiase, a founder and organizer of the conference. “Excellent communication strategies increase effectiveness by helping a nonprofit attract more resources, funds and volunteers.”
Miller is the president of Nonprofit Marketing Guide.com and an award-winning author of “The Nonprofit Marketing Guide: High-Impact, Low-Cost Ways to Build Support for Your Good Cause” (June 2010) and “Content Marketing for Nonprofits: A Communications Map for Engaging Your Community, Becoming a Favorite Cause, and Raising More Money” (August 2013). She serves as a trainer, coach and consultant for small nonprofits nationwide.
Since 2009, the TCU Nonprofit Communicators Conference has provided workshops, panels, and networking opportunities for nonprofit professionals across North Texas. This year’s conference features nonprofit professionals and TCU strategic communication faculty who will discuss best practices for communication planning, mission and culture building, digital media practices, and more.
Registration is $35 for the daylong conference and includes lunch.
