Let’s Talk About: Caroline Osborne

Hometown: Reno, Nevada
Major: Strategic Communication
Class: Sophomore

When Caroline Osborne walked onto Texas Christian University’s campus for the first time, she was convinced she was going to be a business major. By the time she spoke with an advisor and finished her tour, that had changed entirely.

“I ultimately chose strategic communication because it embodies the creative side of business. I decided that it was open-ended enough to give me a lot of options in the future while pushing me in the right direction,” said Osborne.

When asked what she liked the most about the Bob Schieffer College of Communication, and the Strategic Communication department in particular, she did not hesitate to say it was the professors. “I feel so fortunate that I get to learn from people that have actually had jobs I have only dreamed about,” said Osborne.

Since starting her first year at TCU, Osborne has become involved in many ways around campus. Among the programs and clubs she is a part of, Osborne has a creative content internship with TCU Athletics, which allows her to put the knowledge she has gained from strategic communication to good use. In her very limited spare time, she enjoys going dancing at Billy Bob’s Texas and supporting TCU Athletics.
