Steve Levering has been named this year’s Bob Schieffer College of Communication winner of the Dean’s Award in Teaching.
Levering was nominated by his colleagues in Strategic Communication for the teaching award. They particularly noted his creation of a new course in digital storytelling and his innovative and creative work with students inside and outside the classroom. For instance, he recently shepherded nine students to Los Angeles to participate in the Adobe Max creative conference, which will no doubt broaden their on-campus learning in a variety of ways.
University wide award winners will be announced at commencement in December 2015.
