Roxo recognized as PRSSA nationally affiliated firm

FORT WORTH, Texas – January 27, 2016 –Roxo has received notice from the Public Relations Student Society of America that it has been accepted as a Nationally Affiliated student-run firm. This recognition provides the top student-run firms in the country with inclusion in a future client referral system, greater opportunities for service and the opportunity to apply for PRSSA Student-run Firm Awards.

“National Affiliation will benefit Roxo in so many ways,” said Gioia Kabel, Roxo’s president. “This will give Roxo more visibility among other student-run firms, as well as give Roxo more credibility and backing, showing that our work is professional and great enough to qualify our agency for the affiliation.”

Attaining a National Affiliation requires an extensive application process to ensure the firm has a solid connection with Public Relations Society of America, a high level of professionalism and an effective structure. One of 26 affiliated firms, Roxo has instituted new practices to uphold these standards, such as a formal client feedback program, annual staff reviews, annual meetings with leaders from the Greater Fort Worth Chapter of PRSA, and plans to send students to PRSSA’s National Conference as budget allows.

Many current and former Roxo staff are members of the TCU Doug Newsom Chapter of PRSSA, while others who are more interested in the advertising industry are members of TCU’s Ad Club. Roxo provides branding, advertising, digital as well public relations services to clients. PRSSA chapter president, Kristen Robinson said she is very pleased that Roxo is now a PRSSA National Affiliated firm.

“At a national level, PRSSA is a great resource that can help launch students’ careers with a job database and scholarship opportunities,” Robinson said.

Roxo’s affiliation with PRSSA will open doors to even more collaboration between the student agency and TCU’s PRSSA chapter.
