The organizations reached out after George, a faculty expert on crisis communication, appeared in a recent Insider Higher Ed article about managing crisis communications in the COVID-19 era.

On June 16, George will speak on a panel about efficient crisis management in a pandemic as part of the virtual Motion Speaker Series, hosted by the German American Chamber of Commerce of the Southern U.S., Inc. On June 25, she will join a list of distinguished speakers to discuss effective health communication during a pandemic at the Romanian Healthcare Communication Forum. She will speak on how organization leaders can use the GMER (Gauge, Modify, Execute and Review) approach in making crisis communication decisions. Lastly, on October 2, George will speak at a breakout session on crisis communication at the Veteran EDGE Conference in Dallas, an event organized annually by the entrepreneurship division of the Institute for Veterans and Military Families.

“It is an honor to join the distinguished slate of speakers and panelists to discuss my passion – crisis communication. While my work is recognized in my field, the ability to reach broader and international audiences in a meaningful way is exciting. It is a privilege to represent the Schieffer College and TCU  in these forums,” George says.
