Sarah Angle, an instructor in the Department of Strategic Communication and the faculty advisor for Roxo, was interviewed last Saturday by Oprah Winfrey during her virtual event, “Your Life in Focus: A Vision Forward — Live Virtual Experience,” inspired by her sold-out arena tour. In March, Angle wrote an article for Texas Observer about her feelings of loneliness as a single parent during the coronavirus pandemic. A producer for Oprah read the article and invited Angle to join Oprah’s online session focused on relationships in a time of social distancing. In addition to Oprah, Angle was on the virtual chat with psychotherapist Esther Perel and the three women discussed relationships, connection and saying “yes” to life.
