TCU professor emerita Jacqueline Lambiase was named Communicator of the Year award from the Greater Fort Worth Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). Lambiase serves as the co-director of the Certified Public Communicator Program at TCU, which operates in the summer from the Department of Strategic Communication and Schieffer College.
The award recognizes a member of the Fort Worth community who is a role model in the community and has “demonstrated significant leadership and communication skills in a major regional event or issue.”
“It’s been wonderful to be in Fort Worth’s public relations community, and I’m incredibly grateful to TCU colleagues and students in strategic communication and to all the professionals in the Certified Public Communicator program,” Lambiase said. “I’ve learned so much alongside these talented and caring communicators.”
The Certified Public Communicator Program is a post-baccalaureate, graduate-level residential program that offers leadership training and rigorous education for public information managers and communication professionals working for cities, counties, school districts and other public-sector, non-partisan agencies and organizations.
Lambiase was recognized at the annual Worthy Awards, which were emceed by another Horned Frog, Marc Istook ‘98, a graduate of Schieffer College. Recent recipients of the award include Brian Luenser, a Fort Worth photographer, and Opal Lee, the “Grandmother of Juneteenth.”
The Greater Fort Worth Chapter of PRSA is a professional organization made for public relations professionals. The organization provides its members with professional development, networking opportunities and other resources to help them advance their careers.
