Washington Semester Program

WASHINGTON SEMESTER PROGRAM

Strategic Communication students have the unique opportunity to spend a semester working and learning in the nation’s capital, through our TCU Washington Semester Program.

In this program, TCU has partnered with The Washington Center, a facility in D.C. that houses students in an apartment-style residential facility near Capitol Hill, with college students from around the United States.  Each student is matched with an internship, according to the student’s interests and preferences.  These internships can include positions on Congressional staffs, in government departments, in nonprofits and advocacy organizations and other, similar positions.

Students spend four days each week at the internships, and also attend one class of their choice and one seminar/group session each week.  This leaves plenty of time to explore the amazing cultural and historical sights and experiences of the Washington area.  Students get full TCU credit for their semester in Washington.  It’s an amazing way to see and experience firsthand one of the world’s greatest cities.
