Three Questions for Dr. Adam Richards, Assistant Professor, Communication Studies

If you could argue with one celebrity, who would it be?
It is purported that Abraham Lincoln was an obsessive cat person, adopting many strays during his time in the Whitehouse while leaving his dog at home in Illinois. Unfortunately, Abe couldn’t have been more wrong in his preference. Obviously, dogs are superior to cats, a point that I would have been more than happy to argue with him.

What’s your favorite joke?
Where does Napoleon keep his armies? In his sleevies!

What’s your favorite thing to teach?
How people publically project their identities and how others help them manage their public presentation of who they are.

What’s your favorite joke?
Why don’t bicycles stand up on their own? Because they’re two tired!

What’s your favorite thing to teach?
Teaching about how organizations can be more inclusive, participative, and why that makes sense economically, ethically, and just in general. More democratic principles within organizations.
