Class of 2021: Grace Quattrucci

Name: Grace Quattrucci
Hometown: Narragansett, Rhode Island
Major: Communication Studies
Minors: Film, Television and Digital Media; Writing
Class: Junior

Grace Quattrucci came to Texas Christian University in hopes of exploring a new environment filled with endless opportunities and perspectives. A native of Narragansett, Rhode Island, she was initially worried about moving far away from home. However, she now says that one of her favorite things about TCU is that people come from all over the country and world to attend TCU, and she knows that she is not alone.

As a communication studies major, Quattrucci is an avid writer. She enjoys writing so much that she added it as a second minor. Along with writing, she is minoring in film, television and digital media. Her choice to study these concentrations was made from a desire to earn a well-rounded degree that encompassed all of the aspects she is interested in without being stuck in one area. She said now she feels comfortable in a variety of career paths, which puts her at ease with graduation approaching.

Outside of classes, Quattrucci can be found around campus guiding tours for prospective students as a TCU Ambassador. She says the best thing about being an ambassador is meeting people from around the world and representing her university. She says the tour stop on campus that prospective students like seeing most is the Horned Frog statue between Sadler and Reed halls. Quattrucci always mentions to them that rubbing the statue before a test is a tradition and can bring good luck. “Many of them try to get their luck in advance by rubbing the statue on their tour,” she said. “It’s so fun to see the excitement in their eyes about possibly coming to TCU!”

Quattrucci is looking forward to the next steps in her career, which she is getting started on with an internship at LIFT, a marketing agency in Fort Worth, where she works as a marketing strategist. She specializes in search engine optimization, a crucial part of marketing in the digital space, at her internship. Working at LIFT has given her real-life experience in the field she studies each day.

While Quattrucci is excited about her future after TCU, she is already dreading the thought of leaving. Her time at TCU has been filled with incredible memories, like cheering on the Horned Frogs at football games. Being from Rhode Island, she said that football is not nearly as popular there, so she loves experiencing how special game days are at TCU. As she looks forward to the end of her college career, she is filled with eagerness and determination to soak up every memory and experience she can before graduating.
