A Study Session with Madisyn Daniel

Hometown: Southlake, Texas
Class: Sophomore
Major: Communication Studies

Madisyn Daniel is glowing with excitement as she recalls her first memories at Texas Christian University. “I wasn’t sure where I was going to go to school after graduation and TCU was the very first place I visited,” she said.

Daniel remembers the moment she stepped onto campus and realized this was her future. She is a TCU legacy from Southlake, Texas, and the university has always held a special place in her heart. “I choose to become a Bob Schieffer College of Communication student after second semester of my first year when I had this ‘Aha’ moment,” said Daniel. Beaming and bubbly, it’s no wonder Daniel has chosen a career in human resources.

Determined and passionate describe Daniel, as her commitment to her grades are unwavering. When studying, Daniel goes to her favorite spot on the third floor of Rees-Jones Hall, one of TCU’s newest academic buildings. This is where she is able to lay out all her work and drink her go-to beverage, an iced coffee with a splash of cream. “It’s the perfect spot, it’s always quiet with lots of room to spread out,” she said.

Daniel’s passion for academics is met with the support from staff within the Bob Schieffer College of Communication. “The professors are my favorite thing about TCU. Their office hours are so helpful and the level of commitment outside of class is incredible,” said Daniel.
