Schieffer College students: Are you interested in a spring break study abroad opportunity? The Bob Schieffer College of Communication is heading to Poland, Germany and The Netherlands for spring break 2020. Students will have the opportunity to visit places such as Old Town Warsaw, Krakow, Auschwitz-Birkenau, and the Berlin Wall, experience an Amsterdam canal cruise and art museums, and even take part in a Polish cooking class.
This is an interdisciplinary program, meaning students will have the opportunity to enroll in both COMM 30213 (Nonverbal Communication Across Cultures) and STCO 36403 (Digital Storytelling). Tuition for the program is already included in your spring tuition. The program fee is $2,400 which includes most breakfasts, hotel accommodations, in-country ground transportation, and all cultural activities. Airfare is not included, but will probably run around $1,500.
If interested, please obtain a faculty signature of support, write two short answer responses to Dr. Debi Iba, Instructor Steve Levering or Instructor Carrie Moore and complete an online application.
You will need to be accepted to the program and receive a permit before registering for classes. Remaining spots will go to students on a first-come basis. Spots are limited to 25 seats for COMM and STCO students. The application priority date is Monday, September 16.
