If you’re looking to grow professionally and intellectually as a communication professional, then the graduate program may be for you. Enhance your understanding of communication and media while learning and working with leading professors in the department’s recently renovated facilities located in the 5th largest media market in the country.

The graduation program in the Department of Journalism is designed for journalism professionals who want to further develop their intellectual and professional skills. Our classes are typically offered in the early evenings to accommodate working professionals.

Our students include:

  • Recent college graduates with professional internship experience and at least 15 hours (15 courses) of journalism courses
  • Communication professionals with full-time or part-time jobs who want to refine and broaden their professional skills
  • Professionals who are considering a full-time academic career that involves journalism teaching and research
