Why did you choose Texas Christian University? 

I chose TCU because my dad, godmother and godfather all went to TCU. I grew up wearing a TCU cheerleading uniform. 

 What made you choose film, television and digital media as your major? 

I love the communication power that the media have. Nowadays, people listen to the media more than they listen to anything else. The news people hear every day is also a part of the media. So for me, it is a big industry that I like to have influence on.  

What has been your favorite class in the Film, Television and Digital Media department? 

My favorite class in the Film, Television and Digital Media department so far has been my current History of Film class with Dr. Colin Tait. Our class learned about and discussed “Star Wars,” which was fun. Additionally, we studied various directors. Though people don’t often hear about female directors, the truth is they are very prominent in the area. Finally, we also went over what made the film industry become prominent like it is today.  

What is your favorite movie? 

I love the “Wizard of Oz,” a classic movie. I have watched it since I was a kid. It is also the movie that got me interested in films, I would say.  

What movie or TV show is your guilty pleasure? 

I would say my guilty pleasure is “Park and Recreation,” a comedy show that I really enjoy watching.  

Do you like to be in front of or behind the camera? 

I love to do both. I do acting and I also have an acting coach outside of TCU who I meet with on Sundays. I used to be in front of the camera, but with school, I work behind the camera. I act for fun, but I also would love to act in movies someday. However, acting is nerve-racking. 

Which actor would play you in a movie about you? 

An actor who would play me in a movie about me would be Anna Kendrick. I think she is terrific. And I enjoy her “Pitch Perfect” character a lot.   

What is your plan after you graduate? 

Although I don’t know exactly what I would like to do after I graduate, since I am a film major with minors in astronomy and classical studies, I would love to work and edit videos about space.
