A new book titled “International Film Festivals: Contemporary Cultures and History Beyond Venice and Cannes,” edited by FTDM associate professor Tricia Jenkins, has been released by publishing company I.B. Tauris. The collection contains 12 essays that each contribute new knowledge to the field of film festival studies. The authors in this volume represent Australia, France, Italy, Poland, Taiwan, the United Kingdom, and the United States and cover festival topics based in regions as varied as France, Mexico, Panama, Poland, and the UK. In total, the volume presents a rich and varied look at the complexity of film festivals as they take place throughout the world.
