Associate professor Joan McGettigan will introduce Alfred Hitchcock’s 1929 film Blackmail at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth on Thursday, August 28, 2014. The screening is the first in the series “Scare Tactics: Six by Hitchcock,” which covers the director’s career from the 1920s through the 1960s. Live musical accompaniment for this silent version of Blackmail will be performed by pianist Robert Edwards. Professor McGettigan will provide opening remarks and lead a post-screening discussion.
