Due to an angel’s mistake, boxer Joe Pendleton (Robert Montgomery) has been called to heaven before his time, and he’s not happy about it. With the help of heavenly assistant Mr. Jordan (Claude Rains), Joe finds a temporary home in the body of millionaire Bruce Farnsworth—but there are complications, as Joe tries to turn Farnsworth into a boxer and also falls in love.
