KTCU FM 88.7

About the station

KTCU is a federally licensed radio station that broadcasts from Texas Christian University. The 10,000-watt station averages 20,000+ listeners per week, and our signal can be heard in eight North Texas counties. We also stream our signal over the internet, which means that family and friends can keep up with their favorite student disc jockey by logging into ktcu.tcu.edu or their smart home speakers and smartphones.

KTCU currently features some of the top software used by radio stations throughout the world, including the digital audio automation software InfoAudio and the world’s number one scheduling software, MusicMaster. MusicMaster scheduling software is used by top media companies SiriusXM, Entercom, Univision, MTV and more.

Opportunities for all TCU students

Students who work at the station learn the operations of a real broadcast facility and serve in a variety of positions including disc jockeys, sports reporters, writers, traffic reporters, social media managers, production and programming managers.

Students who volunteer at KTCU are also allowed to develop their own shows and features. KTCU programming has won awards from local media, the Texas Associated Press Broadcasters, College Broadcasters, Inc., and the International Academy of the Visual Arts.

Additionally, with TCU being located in the number five media market in the country, students will often hear from a variety of guest lecturers including top-rated disc jockeys, news and sports personalities, and program directors.
