Before her graduation in 2018, she was an intern at two magazines (Paper City and D Magazine), a member of a sorority, studied abroad in Europe, and spent a semester working in Washington, D.C., as part of the program offered by the Schieffer College.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI took a bit of a non-traditional path,\u201d Bierman said. Her second semester junior year, she studied abroad in Italy. Immediately after, she then studied and worked in Washington, D.C. the first semester of her senior year. \u201cIt was an amazing experience,\u201d she said. \u201cI wouldn\u2019t have had it any other way.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>During her time at Texas Christian University, Bierman was a news and media studies major. \u201cThe Schieffer College is really great,\u201d she said. \u201cThere are so many opportunities for students to get involved both on and off campus.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Now, Bierman works in Washington, D.C. \u201cI really had the time of my life when I spent a semester here my senior year. It\u2019s an amazing place to work, live, and be a young adult,\u201d she said. \u201cIf I never had spent a semester here, I don\u2019t know if I would have made the leap of faith in coming here.
