Three Questions for Andy Haskett, Assistant Professor of Professional Practice, Film-TVDigital
\nMedia<\/h3>\n

What\u2019s your favorite movie?
\n<\/strong>Napoleon Dynamite because is broke all the rules for storytelling that had been established and is
\na delightful experience.<\/p>\n

Do you collect anything?
\n<\/strong>Guitars, but I shouldn\u2019t because they\u2019re so expensive. I got my first on in the 1960s and now own
\ntwelve. It\u2019s become a vain attempt to see if getting the right guitar had anything to do with how
\nwell you play, but I\u2019ve come to learn that it doesn\u2019t.<\/p>\n

What is your favorite thing to teach?
\n<\/strong>Popular music and the recording studio. I\u2019m a big Beetles fan and I love getting to teach how
\nthey have impacted the evolution of music.<\/p>\n

Three Questions for Richard Allen, Professor, Film-TV-Digital Media<\/h3>\n

What\u2019s your favorite film?
\n<\/strong>The Apartment written and directed by Billy Wilder. The comedy comes from a real place trying
\nto find love and happiness in New York City and is very insightful about the human condition.<\/p>\n

Do you collect anything?
\n<\/strong>I have a collection of about two hundred playbills that my father handed down to me.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s your favorite thing to teach?
\n<\/strong>Intro to film and TV aesthetics because you take every aspect of film and look how they work
\ntogether.
