“I am currently living in Dallas, working full-time as a video producer for the Kidd Kraddick Morning Show. The Kidd Kraddick Morning Show is a nationally syndicated morning radio show, based out of Irving, Texas. As the Video Producer I’m essentially in charge of all things video. While the show is broadcast nationwide over the radio every morning, we also broadcast online via video so people can tune in from all over the world. I run the camera boards and commercials during the show every morning, and then also shoot and edit the videos for all of our social media platforms.
I graduated from TCU in May 2016 with a BFA in Film-TV-Digital Media, and had interned at the radio show since the summer of 2014. Basically I worked for free for 2 years before I got hired full-time upon graduation. Advice I’d give to students would be to really focus on a job and career path that they truly and wholeheartedly enjoy. I have been incredibly fortunate to be working at what I consider to be my dream job, but since graduation I’ve seen so many people struggle because the jobs they settle for don’t satisfy their creative outlets or needs. If you need to work for free for two years – do it while you’re still a student. Do what you love, love what you do, right?”
