He came to Texas Christian University not knowing a single word of English and left four years later with a communication studies degree. Originally from Split, Croatia, Zvonko Buljan came to TCU to play for the Horned Frogs basketball team.<\/p>\n

Buljan is a European professional basketball player and has the opportunity to travel with his team. \u201cI am living the dream. I am doing what I love, and I am getting paid for it,\u201d he said. In the off season, he spends time in his beautiful coastal home in Croatia.<\/p>\n

While at TCU, Buljan chose communication studies because he has always had a passion for talking and getting to know others. The public speaking skills he learned at TCU are useful to him as a professional athlete. For him, the major was a natural fit and he enjoyed his time in the College of Communication.<\/p>\n

In his free time, Buljan enjoys going to the beach, hanging out with friends, watching movies and practicing basketball. As far as looking forward to the future, he wants to take his basketball career as far as he can. He felt as if he found his home at TCU and offers this advice for students: \u201cDon\u2019t settle just for anything,\u201d he said. \u201cGo somewhere where you will be happy and appreciated. There is so many places, jobs, opportunities so just keep moving forward.\u201d<\/p>\n
