Why did you choose your major?<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I came to Texas Christian University unsure what track to choose, but after my speech class, my interest changed and I started to become passionate about communication studies. I enjoy learning about why we do what we do, and was curious as to how interpersonal communication skills are used. I also chose communication studies because there are countless fields of work that revolve around my major.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What has been your favorite class in your major?<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

My favorite class I\u2019ve taken for my major would be Dr. Paul Witt\u2019s Communication and Character course. I enjoyed this course because it made me realize the underlying characteristic <\/span>traits that are critical for a person to have. This challenged me to rethink my character and helped further understand how to work with all types of individuals.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What would be your dream job?<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I would like to be an event planner. I\u2019ve always loved planning things and coordinating events. I would specialize in weddings, but offer birthday parties, company events and more.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Favorite study spot?<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I always go to the TCU Library. When I do work during the day, I sit in the quieter sections to help me be more productive. However, when I really need to focus or have a big exam, I go to the basement and sit in a cubbyhole.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

One thing in your backpack you can’t forget<\/span><\/b>.<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

My planner!\u00a0 If my planner is missing,\u00a0<\/span>then<\/span> I am a lost cause. I keep important dates, homework assignments, exam dates, notes for papers, flight information and daily schedules all in my planner. If you need a reliable, sturdy and organized planner, I recommend Erin Condren\u2019s life planner. It\u2019s life changing.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What advice would you give to your first-year self?\u00a0<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Don\u2019t always lock yourself away to study. It\u2019s okay to take a 15<\/span>–<\/span>minute break every few hours!<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
