Tania Moreno from TCU Athletics.<\/p><\/div>\n

Tania Moreno Matveeva \u201925<\/a>\u00a0knew when she came to TCU that she wanted to find a major that enhanced her skills on the court, but she wasn\u2019t sure what that might look like.<\/p>\n

\u201cI never had a set major in mind,\u201d explained Moreno. \u201cI tend to live in the present and love taking advantage of opportunities that come my way to shape my future.\u201d<\/p>\n

From a young age, Moreno knew she was going to play volleyball \u2014 it was in her blood. Her mother, Olga Matveeva, played beach volleyball professionally, and her father, Juan Manuel Moreno, was her mother\u2019s coach. But she didn\u2019t realize the opportunities that would present themselves when she followed her doubles partner,\u00a0Daniela \u00c1lvarez \u201924<\/a>, to TCU. Now, the pair are two of the\u00a0record nine Horned Frogs competing in the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris<\/a>.<\/p>\n
