Why Strategic Communication?

I did Strategic Communication because I am a creative person and a people person, so doing an integrated degree with an emphasis on public relations and advertising seemed like it would be the perfect fit for me.

What opportunities and skills has studying Strategic Communication at TCU given you?

I feel I have acquired many different skills that have helped me connect and network in the real world. Doing an internship with the Public Relations Society of America was a great opportunity TCU gave me. I also was the development intern with a nonprofit called Caritas in Austin, Texas. Caritas helps the homeless in Austin, Texas find housing, employment, and education. At Caritas, I was able to promote their service-based messages through social media, campaigns, and various events.
