Journalism partners with Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting

On October 8th, in Washington D.C., the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting was celebrating its tenth anniversary. The Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting is a nonprofit journalism organization which provides funding for journalists covering under-reported stories around the world.

During the festivities it was announced that the Department of Journalism has joined the diverse network of colleges and universities that make up the 28 institution partnership. This makes the Department of Journalism the first Campus Consortium partner in Texas for the Pulitzer Center. Other institutions include: Boston University, the College of William and Mary, the University of Chicago, the University of Michigan, Washington University and Yale University

Journalism Department chair, Dr. Uche Onyebadi, spoke about the partnership. As a member of the Pulitzer Center’s Campus Consortium, our Journalism Department will host a seminar on the TCU campus involving international journalists whose reporting has been supported by the Pulitzer Center.  The partnership will also provide two international reporting fellowships to TCU Journalism students.
