Success for ’93 Graduate and BOV Member, Krys Boyd

Krys Boyd graduated from the then Radio, TV, Film department in 1993, now known as FTDM. If you regularly listen to the DFW radio station KERA Radio 90.1 FM, an NPR station, then you have most likely tuned into the talk show Think at some point. In 2006, Krys became the host of the talk show, succeeding Glenn Mitchell after his death. After graduating from TCU, Krys worked as a reporter, anchor and news director before joining KERA in 2001.

In January, the talk show Think will begin transmitting to Houston, Austin and San Antonio markets, which will more than double the potential listening audience. The new market will be privy to the same episodes on diverse topics that the DFW area has enjoyed for over a decade. Krys herself is attracted to subjects “that leave me with more questions than answers, or which challenge what I already know.”
