Lifetime, CBS, CBC and Fox executive speaks to TCU students

On March 19th and 20th, Trevor Walton spoke to several FTDM classes and hosted one-on-one mentoring sessions with students as part of the FTDM Speaker Series. Walton has spent most of his career as a Senior Commissioning Editor at four major North American television networks. He was Senior Vice President of Movies for CBS, Senior Vice President of Movies and Mini-series for the FOX Network, SVP of Long Form Programming at Lifetime Television and director of all scripted programming at the CBC in Canada. In these positions he has commissioned literally hundreds of hours of prime time shows, in all genres, while also becoming a specialist in programming for women. Walton has also worked as an Independent Producer with such credits as the UK television hit comedy series Girls on Top starring Tracey Ullman, Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders and several TV movies, most recently Amanda Knox starring Hayden Panettiere and Marcia Gay Harden. Walton is currently developing a 10 hour international miniseries called “The Council” as a co-production for the CBC and consults for NBC/Universal in the UK. Trevor started his career as a talent agent in London where he personally represented such talent as Pierce Brosnan, Alan Rickman and David Suchet.
