FTDM to Co-Host April 8 Screening of "The Homestretch"

On Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at 6 p.m., the Department of Film, Television and Digital Media, the Department of Social Work, ACH Child and Family Services, and the Tarrant County Homeless Coalition are co-hosting a community screening of The Homestretch. We invite all members of the TCU community to attend this free event, which is being held in the Brown-Lupton University Union Auditorium.

The Homestretch follows three homeless teens as they fight to stay in school, graduate, and build a future. Each of these smart, ambitious teenagers — Roque, Kasey and Anthony — will surprise, inspire, and challenge you to rethink stereotypes of homelessness as they work to complete their education while facing the trauma of being alone and abandoned at an early age. Against all odds, these young people defy stereotypes as they create new, surprising definitions of home. Can they recover from the traumas of abandonment and homelessness and build the future they dream of?
