Reporter for The Post-Tribune, in Gary, Ind. and the Chicago Bureau of The Wall Street Journal. Newspaper executive at Knight Ridder, and McClatchy newspapers. While at the The Post-Tribune, she co-authored an award-winning series that examined the effects of racial segregation on Northwest Indiana. Management positions at the Star-Telegram and The Charlotte Observer. Taught leadership at the Poynter Institute.
