Gorvetzian Family Fund in Communication Studies

This year, the Bob Schieffer College of Communication proudly presents the Gorvetzian Family Fund in Communication Studies.

The keynote speaker will be Elizabeth Jenswold, Vice President of Human Resources for JP Morgan Chase.

The event will take place on Wednesday, March 1, at 5 pm in Moudy North 141, and is open to everyone. There will be a reception immediately following the keynote address.

CURRENT ROLE: At JP Morgan Chase, Elizabeth Jenswold is Vice President of Human Resources for Dallas-Fort Worth and serves as Head of Human Resources function for the Chief Administrative Office in the Commercial Bank. Elizabeth leads employee strategies for over 15,000 employees who are located primarily in Dallas-Fort Worth, Chicago, New York, London, Singapore, and India.

BOARD MEMBERSHIPS: Elizabeth is the Vice President of Programming on the alumni board of the Delta Gamma Sorority at Texas Christian University. She also serves as Military Co-Chair for the Annual Colonial Country Club PGA Tournament and is Co-Social Chair for Leadership Fort Worth.

EXPERIENCE: Before joining JP Morgan Chase, Elizabeth lived in China, where she developed a Human Resources consulting practice serving multi-national companies doing business in Asia. Additionally, she worked as the Head of Marketing for the Jane Goodall Institute. In this role, she designed corporate social responsibility programs and spearheaded corporate giving to support a tree planting program in Inner Mongolia that was established to help reduce the spread of the Gobi Desert. She also worked with youth in China on protecting the environment and instilling peace as an essential core value. Elizabeth’s career has also spanned an array of progressive human resources leadership roles for large multi-national organizations including Morgan Stanley, Toyota Financial Services and Mary Kay Cosmetics in Dallas, Los Angeles and Chicago.

EDUCATION: Elizabeth earned her Bachelor of Science in Communication and Human Relations from Texas Christian University. She is also a graduate of the University of the Chicago Booth School of Business Leadership Program, and she studied Mandarin at the Lucky Mandarin Language School in Shanghai, China.

FAMILY: Elizabeth lives in Fort Worth with her husband, Jonathan. Her daughter, Katherine, is a student at the University of California San Diego.
